Luxury flat leather lead with padded handle in soft leather in a choice of traditional or contemporary colours. Finished with solid brass or nickel-plated (silver) solid brass fittings. 122cm long (including handle) x 15mm wide.
Please note: we use a full-grain hide leather for the lead. Each item is individually hand-crafted and stitched, not simply riveted. Our metal fittings feature solid brass (or nickel-plated solid brass) trigger hooks manufactured for the equestrian trade by a fabricator based in the Midlands.
The lead will initially be a bit stiff - like a good pair of leather shoes - but will do what leather does best: soften and wear nicely over time. Please note that the default colour of the hide we use is a dark chocolate brown (almost like 'havana' but not quite). If you'd like to change this for another colour like charcoal or black, not a problem but please be sure to let us know (you can leave a message in the purchase path - if there's a problem or it's unclear we will let you know)

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
A cleaning with dubbin or saddle soap, then buffed up with a leather restorative like Neat's Foot Oil or a beeswax product (e.g. Renapur or Leather Genie) will help restore the leather to its natural lustre and protect it against the elements.
To help ensure the longevity of your dog's leather collar, allow to air-dry (not on a radiator) after it gets wet and ensure it is dry before re-using.
Do not allow the leather to come into contact with the chemicals from commercially-available flea spot-on treatments. This will damage the leather and may cause the dye to run.
