We have created a 'wide' and sturdy leather collar for your Big Dog that matches up to our designer aesthetic. So you get the best of all worlds. Strength, Security, Durability and Style.
If there is any pulling on the collar, the pressure will radiate across a larger surface area, helping to protect the windpipe (trachea) from damage. It's made of a heavier/thicker hide leather strap and features solid brass or nickel-plated brass, load-bearing fittings.
The leather might be a bit stiff initially - but will do what leather does best and soften nicely in a short time.
The Big Dog collar is available in a simpler style (with signature red lining) or as a soft padded leather collar (with soft rolled edges this helps prevent breaking the coat). We also have a Big Dog leather collar with Handle if you require the extra control, safety and security of trying to manage your large canine in and out of the car or in a crowded area.
And more Big News: you can also now pair the collar with our 'Big Dog' rolled leather lead that features a heavy-duty snap hook.
