The dog collar for your Dachshund or Miniature Dachshund

The dog collar for your Dachshund or Miniature Dachshund

Meet Annabelle (feature image above). She's a wirehaired 'rabbit-hole' Miniature Dachshund (bred specially for, well, flushing out poor bunnies - but Annabelle is not gainfully employed, she's a lady who lunches).

In the UK, the favourite mini-daxie is the smooth coated, followed by longhaired. But I still love Annabelle (she is one of five dogs at home, which also includes Daffy, a longhaired ginger).

Puppy Dexter, in the Flat and Wider Soft Leather Collar in Red, is a smooth coated Miniature Dachshund.

Because we have the great privilege of designing and making leather collars at our workshop in London, we've made the ideal collar for Dachshunds and Miniature Dachshunds.

But it's also ideal for Italian Greyhounds, Miniature Pinschers, English Toy Terriers, Manchester Terriers, Jack Russell, even puppies.

The collar is flat and soft, lighter weight, but still strong and sturdy (it increases in sturdiness with size). The shape is ideal protecting the windpipe from undue pressure when on the lead because the pressure radiates across a wider surface area.*

What's lovely about this collar is not just its strength and reliability, but the great range of colours / shades available. Any of the soft leathers you see on our website are available. So, like Annabelle's collar, you might prefer a warm wintery Merlot (burgundy), perhaps a cool light grey, or a vibrant green, blue, orange.

Take a look here to see all the colour options. For sizing, make sure to take a soft tape measure and pull this snugly around your dog's neck, NO fingers underneath. This will give you the 'actual' neck size - then just cross-reference this against the sizing chart (my mini-daxies wear the size XS).
